When a website user leaves a comment, we collect the data shown in the comment form as well as the user’s IP address and browser signature as a spam detection aid.
An anonymised string of characters created based on your email address (known as a hash) can be sent to the Gravatar service to verify whether you are using it. The privacy policy of the Gravatar service is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. Once your comment is approved, your profile picture will be publicly visible next to your comment.
